Haven't forgotten

WOW>>>>>>  I am writing to see how you all are doing?   I am trying to jump back on this week after a tough two weeks.  I am stuggling to balance what it is like to have JRay travel all over again and I am the one that is left responsible for everything. 

I saw pics of me playing kickball with my school against other elementaries and why does it take a pic for me to realize just how bad I look
So tomorrow I am hitting the treadmill again....

My competitive nature & pride are Killing me!

Well - just worked out for another 30 minutes today! Could not get off the wii fitness aerobic step workout until I was #1 again! I could not believe mom beat me! And every score...out of 10 she was on 7 of them!!!

Anyway...going to bed now...but as I sleep...she is upstairs on the wii...probably kicking my butt AGAIN!!!

Okay girls!
This is an accountability challenge! Time for us to get serious and hold each other and ourselves accountable!!! We've got to get busy!!!! We've got some weight to lose!!!

Hanging in there!

Well - working my way through this travel thing and weight loss. I am making better decisions than ever before on my food choices and really excited about that! My bread intake is way down & my water intake is through the roof!!! The workouts are presenting me a greater challenge on the road so still have to get a solid strategy for that.

Hope everyone else is doing well! Anxious for weigh in because haven't gotten the workouts in -- so we'll see!

My Eyeballs are Floating!!!

Wow! Who would have thought drinking so much water would radically change how you think...what you do...and your entire schedule! And...all for good benefits! Bertha -- I am thanking you around the clock for this challenge! :)

I do have to say that I am getting much better at being able to drink the water and manage it throughout the day. As soon as I get a free moment I'm going to the store and buy be one of those big water bottles so I can keep it with me all the time.

Still a challenge for me to work out on the road. Gotta figure a way to do that. Tough when I am working on 4 hours of sleep so trying to figure all that out. I did however start my day with 30 minutes of aerobics this morning. I love me some wii!!! And I am Jazzed about my finish to the 1st week!

Water, water, water

Alrighty, so remember 8 oz. is only a cup. I do better when I break it up. I have 2 cups from the time I get up until I leave for work, through out the day I drink 32 oz, then when I get home 2 more cups! Keep it up, we can do this! Have a great Wednesday :) B

STEP AEROBIC QUEEN

Well...I used to be the Jane Fonda Queen! I remember leg warmers and head bands and all the aerobic courses I taught! Yes - I taught! But now I am trying to get back into this fitness world. The wii is cranked up and today before I did anything I started working out on the wii. I did 30 minutes of aerobic activities. I did the step aerobics and the jogging. Both I still am only getting 1 star but I have been beating my time. So it is a start. I am in a hotel tonight and for the next 2 nights so my challenge will be getting to workout while I am on the road.  Hope you guys are working out! Excited and committed to make this happen!!

Now... as for the water challenge! You have got to be kidding me!! I started the day with 2 glasses of water & my eyeballs were floating! Then I dumped the 3rd glass in a measuring cup and realized each glass was 16oz instead of the 8oz I thought! I was happy!!! I did get all the water in -- but let me tell you...I was not a happy camper to have to pee on the plane. I finally gave in when my kidneys were about to bust.

Final thing for today...had to figure out how to eat heathy in an airport. Found me a restaurant that served Turkey Burgers on whole wheat and then got a side salad instead of fries. Looked up the points on my iphone and it was great. By the way --- love turkey burgers!

Surrender

Here we go, Ladies! I am really trying to figure out what is driving me to not do what I am suppose to do to lead a healthy lifestyle, so I read this that said, we have to surrender control and do things God's way. Wii Fit is Back in Action!

Ok Girls!!!

It is official...I have entered into the world of physical fitness. The wii is back in action!

I know you each have these...get logged back in and cranked back up! I did the step workout, the hula hoop & the jog. Logged in 30 minutes of calorie counting!!!

I have sweat dripping down my back!!!
Only problem...my scale & the wii fit weight are off...so going to update my chart with the weight to align the two...cause I know I have done GREAT this week -- but I KNOW I did not already lose 6 lbs!
So going to readjust & keep you posted.

Really you could take any recipe and tweak it to make it healthier. A few things to think about.
- How is my meal cooked(best options - grilled, broiled, baked, steamed)
- Always go for oil based dressings/sauces (Italian, balsamic vinaigrette/red sauces)
- Make your plate colorful(variety of vegetables, protein ect)
- Spice it up! (sometimes healthy food can be less appealing, but use spices, cilantro, peppers, Cinnamon to give it good flavor.)

And remember - everything in moderation!!!!!
