Really you could take any recipe and tweak it to make it healthier. A few things to think about.
- How is my meal cooked(best options - grilled, broiled, baked, steamed)
- Always go for oil based dressings/sauces (Italian, balsamic vinaigrette/red sauces)
- Make your plate colorful(variety of vegetables, protein ect)
- Spice it up! (sometimes healthy food can be less appealing, but use spices, cilantro, peppers, Cinnamon to give it good flavor.)
And remember - everything in moderation!!!!!
